At the age of fourteen he left his native village of Pueblo Bello in Colombia for the city of Valencia in Spain, where he currently resides.\r\n\r\nThere he acquired his degree in Bellas Artes (Fine Art) at the Escuela de Bellas Artes of San Carlos. He later completed his studies with a course in the Escuela de Pintura Mural Contempor\u00e1nea (School of Contemporary Mural Painting) in San Cugat del Vall\u00e9s, in Barcelona, and then in Etching and Lithography in the Institute Statale D'Arte de Urbino, in Italy. He later obtained the title of 'Doctor Cum Laude' at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and is currently a professor there of Fine Art.\r\n\r\nRamos has exposed his works in more than two hundred individual and collective exhibitions in galleries in Spain, U.S.A, Canada, Colombia, Italy, Germany and Ireland as well as other countries.\r\n\r\nDisplayed works can be seen in the Museum Salvador Allende de Chile, Museum Valledupar of Colombia, the collection of Banco de la Republica of Bogot\u00e1 and in the collection of the University Nacional Aut\u00f3noma of Mexico D.F.
