Andrés Marti
Biography
Andres Marti (Bogotá, 1989) is a visual artist whose practice explores the body as a symbolic and emotional surface, engaging with themes of identity, memory, and image construction. Working across photography, collage, painting, and installation, his work often inhabits liminal spaces—thresholds where meaning, perception, and form remain in flux. He studied Industrial Design at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) and earned a Master's in Artistic and Documentary Photography at TAI (Spain). His work has been exhibited at institutions such as Círculo de Bellas Artes, Galería Modus Operandi, Galería Nueva, Studio RGF, Espacio Ronda, Barcú (Bogotá), and the Colombian Consulate in Madrid. He has received distinctions such as the TAI Foto VI Grant, the WeNow Visual Arts Award, and the Museo Thyssen’s Versiona Prize. Marti has participated in residencies including NY20+ Chengdu (China), PAAL Madrid, and the Youmein Festival in Tangier. He currently lives and works between Madrid and Bogotá.
