Carlos Sebastiá

Biography

Carlos Sebastiá is a visual artist whose practice explores memory, fragmentation, and the ways images are constructed, transmitted, and transformed over time. Working across painting, photography, installation, and mixed media, he investigates the intersections between personal and collective memory, often drawing on found photographs, archival materials, and processes of translation between digital and analogue media. His work has been exhibited in institutions and venues including the Centre del Carme (Valencia), Museo de la Ciudad (Valencia), Sala San Miguel, Sunning Art Museum (China), and the Instituto Cervantes in Beijing. His works are held in collections such as DKV, the Diputación de Cáceres, Fundación José Jiménez Castells, and Raiffeisen Wels Süd. Sebastiá is co-director of Co-net Art and co-founder of CeramicRes, an international contemporary art residency programme based in L’Alcora, Spain.
