About Spain Passion

Spain Passion is a curatorial organisation for contemporary Spanish art. We select artists, document their work and take it to galleries, collectors and institutions across the world.

We work as curators, cultural mediators and project producers: bridges between Spain and the world, between artists and institutions, between a work and the people it will move.

And we coordinate what makes a project possible: transport, documentation, insurance and coordination with galleries, museums and collectors, from the first idea to the last nail on the wall.

Elena Magdalena Filote
Co-founder of Spain Passion

This project was born out of love, for art and for people.

My work is people: artists, partners, institutions and collectors. I look after relationships, logistics and follow-up, so that ideas become well-made realities. For me, art is also care: attention to detail, empathy and precision, so that each work arrives where it belongs.

Samuel Casavella
Curator of Spain Passion

I trained in Fine Arts, and I curate the way I learned to look: by living with the works. I do not stand outside a painting to explain it; I step into it, let it persuade me and inhabit the space it opens.

I select the artists and the works, and I write about them. What matters to me is not the technique or the date, but what a work makes you feel and the truth behind it. That is what Spain Passion takes to the world.

Our Curatorial Committee

Spain Passion is building a curatorial committee that will decide together. It will bring experience from curating, making art, criticism, education, institutions and the international circulation of works, so each project is seen from several sides. We prefer dialogue to automatic criteria: we listen to the work, to the artist and to the place where the work will live.

We are small on purpose and wide in outlook: close relationships, direct conversation, long-term trust. The people and the works come first; everything else is organised around them.

A Careful and Professional Approach
Professional Standards, Human Relationships

Every stage of a work’s journey follows professional standards: transport, customs, documentation and cover handled with precision and transparency. And relationships stay at the centre: clear communication, realistic expectations, honest dialogue. Care for the artwork is also care for the people around it.
