Curatorial text
*Paisaje Fragmentado* turns landscape into a body.
Wood, image and cut build a physical memory of territory. The grain, knots and irregularities of the pine remain exposed, carrying the time of the tree. The transferred image settles over the surface like a shadow, a trace, a second skin. The sculpture gathers matter and vision into one vertical presence.
Its strength comes from fracture. The stacked forms, visible cuts and slight displacements create a landscape under tension: interrupted, rebuilt, held together by its own wounds. The piece carries an archaic weight and a contemporary pulse. It feels rooted, wounded and alert.
The work belongs to an expanded space between sculpture, photography and construction. Image becomes matter. Matter keeps memory. The landscape appears as volume, edge, surface and silence.
Within Spain Passion, this piece matters because it brings together territory, craft, time and symbolic density. It asks for slow attention. It holds the gaze through its surfaces, its reverses and its quiet vertical force.
*Paisaje Fragmentado* carries the time of the tree, the time of the image, the time of the cut and the time of the viewer. It stands as a constructed memory of landscape.
This piece brings a sober, territorial and contemporary presence to the space. It has material strength, a clear discourse, and belongs to a mature sculptural line.
