Let us be clear from the beginning.
Spanish artists have produced work of the highest order for centuries. This is not a romantic claim, Its a historical fact. Spain has given the world painters, sculptors, schools, materials, images, wounds, symbols and forms of vision that belong among the strongest cultural traditions in Europe.
The place of Spanish contemporary art is at the center. It belongs in serious collections, institutions, galleries, companies, foundations and cultural spaces across the world. But quality alone is not enough. A work may be powerful and still remain invisible. An artist may have depth and still lack the structure that allows that depth to be understood. Between the studio and the international conversation there is a narrow crossing: professionalism, documentation, trust and traceability. That is the place where Spain Passion wants to work.
We do not believe in moving artworks blindly. We do not believe in casual circulation, vague promises or decorative exposure. The quality of Spanish art requires quality in the process. That is the difference between buying and selling in the dark, and creating a place of confidence where understanding can happen between artists and galleries, between works and institutions, and, of course, with serious international collectors.
Spain Passion wants to open a safe and demanding space for the validation, activation and international projection of artworks and artistic careers.
For that reason, our procedure is built on several clear principles.
Your Work Remains Yours. The works remain in your studio, or wherever they are safely kept, until the conditions of exhibition, custody, loan or presentation are the right ones. Nothing is moved for the sake of movement. Nothing leaves its place without purpose, documentation and care. A work should not travel because someone is impatient. It should travel because the context is worthy of it.
Gallery First
Galleries come first. If you have agreements with galleries regarding specific works, Spain Passion will not show those works to other galleries, nor use them in any way that creates conflict with existing professional relationships.
Those works may still be part of your artistic profile, your archive or your wider curatorial context. They may also be considered for institutional visibility, exhibitions or cultural projects if you and your gallery agree that this makes sense.
We consider working with galleries a way of protecting the ecosystem and recognising the labour of those who have already supported, shown and defended artists. Spain Passion does not seek to replace that work. It seeks to add structure, context and international possibility around it. For this reason, we do not negotiate prices on represented works and we do not interfere with gallery agreements. The policy of value begins with the artist and respects the existing professional framework around each work.
Traceability
When a work leaves the studio, or the place where it is held, it must do so with the right papers, the right contracts and the right insurance. There must be clarity before movement. Who holds the work, where it goes, for how long, under what conditions, with what insurance., with what purpose, and how it returns.
A work must always be able to come home. Or, if the right conditions appear, to find a better place in the world.
Not a Marketplace
Not everyone enters, not everything is offered, not every work must be shown to everyone.
We do not like defining ourselves by negation, but this point has to be clear: Spain Passion is not built to accumulate content. It is built to recognise, certify, accompany and activate artistic trajectories with seriousness. Its purpose is to help create the conditions in which a work can be read, trusted, valued and placed properly. We are interested in the tree, the forest and the path. We believe things should be where they belong, and in the way they belong.
Desire may come later. Passion comes first.
Our procedures are visible.
Spain Passion is led by curators who love art, but also truth. For this reason, our criteria, principles and working procedures are not improvised: they are written, visible and documented on this website. Every artist should know how their work is understood, protected and considered before it enters any wider conversation.
